Volunteer repairer vacancies come about from time to time, and we are always looking for volunteers with welcoming, co-ordinating, cooking and administrative skills. We always welcome volunteer repairers, especially electricians. It is held from 10am-2pm, 2nd Sunday of every month, alongside Magill Rotary Sunrise Markets at Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Lower North East Road and Darley Road, Paradise. We have 30 volunteers offering their services as repairers, guides and administrative supporters. Offerings include:

sewing, darning needle felting locksmith mechanical/bicycles wooden items jewellery dolls, teddies, soft toys software knife sharpening electrical Last registrations for repairs for weekend events by 1.30pm. Arrival before noon is encouraged to ensure there is time for all items to be seen

Aberfoyle Repair Cafe is run by a group of volunteers who can help you repair your broken or damaged goods, learn new skills, and reduce things going to landfills.

We link people who know how to fix stuff with people who don’t, which fosters a wonderful sense of community.

Volunteers at our Repair Cafe can help with:

2. We cannot replace zips (very time-consuming) but we CAN attempt to fix the current zip

3. Our sewing volunteers do not do alterations (but we have a list of local alteration services)

4. Where possible, bring your own parts; or threads to match clothing repair; or preferred wool colour for darning, e.g. jumpers, socks

5. Bring what’s needed so that the volunteer-repairer can check the item, e.g., for a cassette player, bring a cassette; CD player, bring a CD; television, bring the remote control!

6. Please clean the item to be repaired, otherwise repairers will not be able to work on the item.

Coffee, tea, cacao, hot chocolate, broth, biscuits, etc available (gold coin donation to cover ingredients)

NOTE: there are good RECYCLING facilities at 19 on Green Community Centre

Repair Café Campbelltown is a place where you can bring broken items for fixing & learn how to fix them yourself – with the help of expert volunteer repairers, for free!

It is held from 10am-2pm, 2nd Sunday of every month, alongside Magill Rotary Sunrise Markets at Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Lower North East Road and Darley Road, Paradise. We have 30 volunteers offering their services as repairers, guides and administrative supporters. Offerings include:

sewing, darning needle felting locksmith mechanical/bicycles wooden items jewellery dolls, teddies, soft toys software knife sharpening electrical Last registrations for repairs for weekend events by 1.30pm. Arrival before noon is encouraged to ensure there is time for all items to be seen

Aberfoyle Repair Cafe is run by a group of volunteers who can help you repair your broken or damaged goods, learn new skills, and reduce things going to landfills.

We link people who know how to fix stuff with people who don’t, which fosters a wonderful sense of community.

Volunteers at our Repair Cafe can help with:

1. Unfortunately, we cannot repair coffee machines (they need specialist components, & they tend to be very time-consuming)

2. We cannot replace zips (very time-consuming) but we CAN attempt to fix the current zip

3. Our sewing volunteers do not do alterations (but we have a list of local alteration services)

4. Where possible, bring your own parts; or threads to match clothing repair; or preferred wool colour for darning, e.g. jumpers, socks

5. Bring what’s needed so that the volunteer-repairer can check the item, e.g., for a cassette player, bring a cassette; CD player, bring a CD; television, bring the remote control!

6. Please clean the item to be repaired, otherwise repairers will not be able to work on the item.

Coffee, tea, cacao, hot chocolate, broth, biscuits, etc available (gold coin donation to cover ingredients)

NOTE: there are good RECYCLING facilities at 19 on Green Community Centre

The Unley Repair Café is a place where you can learn to repair your broken household items, with the help of expert local volunteer repairers, for free!

Through our sessions we repair things, share knowledge and skills, enjoy cups of tea, reduce landfill, save money, make friends and create community.

Monthly sessions are held from 9.30am – 12.30pm on the last Saturday of each month at the Clarence Park Community Centre Main Hall, 72-74 East Avenue, Black Forest 5035. Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t have something to repair.

Volunteer repairer vacancies come about from time to time, and we are always looking for volunteers with welcoming, co-ordinating, cooking and administrative skills. We always welcome volunteer repairers, especially electricians. The Adelaide Repair Cafe is part of a global community dedicated to fixing broken household items & reducing our collective impact on the environment.

We welcome one item per repair booking: electronic appliances, clothing and textile repairs (Repairs only - no hemming of new items). Items must be small enough to carry. (No Whitegood such as mircowaves can not be booked for repair as these are high risk items)

The Repair Cafe requests that you remain while the repair is being carried out, to assist with repair and learn new skills. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking as these sessions are in high demand.

Sessions are aimed at 18+ (Children are required to have parent/ guardian supervision)

Access to Tiwu Kumangka: Accessible carparks are available via the entrance on Young Street, with a sealed pathway to the building. Additional carparking available via Edwards Street carpark and on-street parking.

The Unley Repair Café is a monthly, free, open community event aiming to reduce waste to landfill, pass on valuable repairing knowledge, and create a sense of community.

Please note: * We are not a drop-off service - you must sit with/assist the repairer and learn how to fix your item together * One item at a time per person, to allow everyone the opportunity to participate. If you have more than one item you may be able to re-join the queue after your first item has been attended to * Last new repairs are registered at 12:00pm, or earlier if we are very busy! Our session ends at 12:30pm sharp, so please arrive well before this to enable enough time for repairs *We will have a large range of tools and equipment needed to make repairs, but we do not keep a stock of spare parts. We will have bits and pieces (screws, buttons, etc), but if your repair requires a specific spare part, please purchase before the session.
