ORGANISED COMMUNITY GATHERINGS We will be hosting a round of community Christmas card creating sessions - these are drop in sessions - stay as long as you like.

I supply all of the materials (and some snacks!)

Bring Phone AND your Laptop and we’ll provide free hands on help to imrpove your tech security and move away from Big Tech surviellance and domiantion. Friendly non-judgemental hands on tech security support. We dont do general computer fixing (aka go to a repair cafe or computer repairer for standard stuff), but we are here to answer and help with tech security questions and with help and advise to move away from big tech services to community run alternatives.

A gorgeous event organised by a group of young local queer activists. Pride is for us - we don’t need corporate sponsored events to gather our community. Come get cosy with us.

Them’s Shed is a weekly open day where people can work on shared projects, use Rewind facilities, collaborate on ideas and just plain hang out. Rewind’s doors will be open to all every Saturday from 10am - 2pm, so come and say hello!

Bring your knitting, friends, snacks and good company. If you’re not working on a project and can’t convince your mates to join you, come anyway! It’s a great chance to meet new folks and lend a hand.

Forest Fest

Come along to our Forest Fest with a screening of Bob Brown Foundation’s film Takayna - Heart of Lutruwita at Rewind Sound and Studios. We will be running a costume making session in preparation for the March in March in Adelaide. Upskill yourself with sewing and designing costumes and puppets on the theme of Takayna endangered animals.

We will be running this making session from 4pm. Along with a spoken word open mic starting at 5:30pm, environmental justice and nature themed poems and songs encouraged! The film screening will start at 7pm (runtime of 45mins).

A 90 minute workshop on one possible model to build housing collectives that focus on retrofitting housing for the climate crisis, while also contributing to the decommodification of housing for public good.

The goal of Retrofit and Decommodify (RAD) housing is to collectively acquire, retrofit, and decommodify existing suburban housing so that we, and others, can live in resilient and affordable housing.

The RAD housing project offers one small way to contribute to prefiguring better futures by providing opportunities to live collectively in ways that help us to practice commoning and act in solidarity with more radical movements for change.

The RAD housing members are currently visiting from Naarm, and keen to take this opportunity to transfer some of their learnings to the community here, to aid in similar and related efforts.
