Dupang Festival 2026
through Dupang, Long Point, Coorong
A three-day celebration of culture, Country and community on Ngarrindjeri Lands at the Coorong waterfront. Hosted by Uncle Moogy Sumner and the Tal-Kin-Jeri Dance Group, the festival brings together Aboriginal dancers, artists, weavers and knowledge keepers from across Australia to share their skills and stories. Visitors can join cultural workshops in weaving, carving and dance, explore the First Nations marketplace, and take part in daily ceremonies, including a special sunset smoking ceremony and corroboree. Evenings feature music, storytelling and dance under the stars, with camping available on Country. BYO camping equipment. Check website for program updates, directions to the festival site and FAQs. Make a badge and bag charm with Tikari at Fabrik (10-16yo)

In this school holiday workshop First Nations artist Tikari Rigney will show you how to be fabulously creative with felt, collage and fabric. After drawing your imaginative designs, you will cut, stick, layer and hand sew them into a bunch of sweet little bag friends, tags or felt badges. About the workshop host Tikari is a Kaurna, Narrunga, Ngarrindjeri artist and poet living on unceded Kaurna land. Painting Botanicals with Aboriginal artist Aunty Ros Cameron
– Fabrik Arts + Heritage, Old Woollen Mill, Lobethal
In this school holiday workshop give your kids the opportunity to connect to culture with First Nations artist Aunty Ros Cameron. They will paint on natural materials such as gum leaves, gumnuts and rocks using bright and colourful Posca pens. Ros will also show your budding crafters how to thread gumnuts to make amazing simple jewellery. The afternoon’s focus will be on mindful making, cultural symbols and connection to nature. About the workshop host Aunty Ros Cameron is an Aboriginal artist (Eastern and Northern Arrente) and cultural educator who has worked with children, families and communities, sharing stories and cultural knowledge through art, storytelling and connection to nature.
