Come along and create more habitat for the Painted Dragons, butterflies and frogs at Biodiversity Park! Join Port Environment Centre for this event.

This is a FREE community event, ALL WELCOME!

Date: Wednesday July 1st from 9.30am to 12:30pm

Meet spot: in the carpark at the corner of Pelican Point and Victoria Roads, Outer Harbor.

Then we will head into Biodiversity Park to start planting. If you plan on arriving late please let us know to come and meet you in the carpark.

If you’d like to become a longer-term, practical Friend of Biodiversity Park, helping to expand the habitat for all the wildlife already calling the Park home, please contact Port Adelaide Residents Environment Protection Group (PAREPG) at parepg@parepg.org.au.

What to wear/bring:

Sun protection (hat, suncream, sunglasses) Raincoat (if wet weather is forecast) Warm layers that can be added/removed for comfort Filled water bottle Snack/fruit Personal items such as medications eg puffers

We produce a massive amount of waste each year. How can we live more intentionally and make greener choices in our everyday lives?

Join us as we explore practical, creative and community-led ways we can all take action together and avoid greenwashing.

Here’s what’s happening:

4:00 – 5:00 pm | Create Bin Stickers Start the evening with a creative session led by Kris and James from Bugs n Slugs. Design your own stickers to raise awareness and make your bins stand out. All materials provided.

We’re calling on local families, children and nature lovers to help discover, identify and record as many plant, animal and fungi species as possible in our local area.

It’s a great chance to get outdoors, learn about local biodiversity and contribute to important community science. This will allow us to monitor changes over time, particularly with the projected impacts of climate change.
