    Nature Nights

    We produce a massive amount of waste each year. How can we live more intentionally and make greener choices in our everyday lives?

    Join us as we explore practical, creative and community-led ways we can all take action together and avoid greenwashing.

    Here’s what’s happening:

    4:00 – 5:00 pm | Create Bin Stickers Start the evening with a creative session led by Kris and James from Bugs n Slugs. Design your own stickers to raise awareness and make your bins stand out. All materials provided.

  • Port Environment Centre - Visible Mending Workshop

    Discover visible mending as a creative way to extend the life of your clothing, bags and fabric items. Led by Donna Gordge from Stitch Paint Burn Studio, you’ll learn different stitching techniques to repair or decorate textiles. You can create a patch to take home or bring along items you’d like to mend or personalise. No sewing experience needed.

    🌼 Free natural cleaning products to take home will be available at the end of the evening.

    Are you looking for a creative way to make new friends and connect with others who care about the environment?

    Do you enjoy making things with your hands and giving old materials a new purpose?

    Would you like to learn practical upcycling skills in a relaxed, welcoming space?

    ♻️Eco Creators Club♻️ is a hands-on workshop series for young people aged 12 – 15 years, exploring creative ways to reduce waste through upcycling and repurposing everyday items. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, express their creativity and connect with others through shared making experiences. $50, bookings essentials. Fortnightly workshops

    Across five workshops, participants will transform discarded and unwanted materials into unique handmade creations while discovering how small actions can help reduce waste and support a more sustainable future. The sessions will run Wednesdays fortnightly during Term 3 from 3:30pm–5:30pm at the Port Environment Centre:

    22nd July – Felt Creatures 5th August – Fuzzy Sock Birds 19th August – Men’s Tie Bags 2nd September – Broken Mug to Mini Cactus Pot 16th September – Needle Felt Pictures
