♻️Eco Creators Club♻️ is a hands-on workshop series for young people aged 12 – 15 years, exploring creative ways to reduce waste through upcycling and repurposing everyday items. Participants will have the opportunity to learn new skills, express their creativity and connect with others through shared making experiences. $50, bookings essentials. Fortnightly workshops

Across five workshops, participants will transform discarded and unwanted materials into unique handmade creations while discovering how small actions can help reduce waste and support a more sustainable future. The sessions will run Wednesdays fortnightly during Term 3 from 3:30pm–5:30pm at the Port Environment Centre:

At this launch, the research team and artist, Michelle Chan, will share their insights into the research, development, and creation of their zine, ‘Supporting Neurodivergent Comic Artists.’

This zine was created as part of a research project, ‘Supporting Neurodivergent Comics Creators’, funded by the Global Arts and Health Alliance via the University of South Australia, University of Adelaide and Flinders University. Researchers from these universities collaborated to understand the needs and experiences of neurodivergent comics creators in Adelaide. This zine visually represents the lived experience of the research project participants in their comics creation journey.

Twenty-year-old Strathalbyn Artist and Designer Ami Jackson is using creativity as a platform for social change, launching a powerful collection of socially conscious products designed to spark conversation about global injustice, displacement and human rights.

On July 25, Ami will officially launch her exhibition and product range titled ‘Let’s TalkAbout Global Injustice’, featuring intentionally designed practical items including totebags, key rings and wearable art aimed at encouraging awareness, discussion,empathy and personal action.

Ami’s first launch collection focuses on Palestine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza,using symbolism, culture and storytelling through design.
