Grey Box Day 2024 State Flora Nurseries

๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿƒ Hello all plant lovers!! ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฒ Grey Box Day is coming up again soon, on Sunday 5 May, 10am-4pm. Hosted by Greybox Community Organisation Inc, the day aims to raise awareness of the importance of Grey Box trees. The Grey Box (Eucalyptus microcarpa) Grassy Woodlands was formerly widespread across south-eastern Australia. Today, only 10 to 15% of its original extent remains. In the weeks before the event, Yellow ribbons will be tied around Grey Box trees in City of Mitcham to highlight these special trees. Grey Box trees grow slowly and rarely reach a size where they are protected in South Australia. On Sunday 5 May 10AM - 4PM, at State Flora in Belair National Park, there will be a special on native plants ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฒ๐Ÿƒ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒณ
