Willowbrook Creek, along the dirt path between the footbridge and River Torrens

Nestled between the O-Bahn corridor and Willowbrook Road near Paradise Interchange, Friends of Karrawirra Parri is enriching the landscape by improving biodiversity and habitat for endemic species. We’ll add understory plantings to complement existing mature trees to create better habitat for small birds and native animals and help reconnect the creek to the River Torrens / Karrawirra Parri as a thriving wildlife corridor.

Over the past five months, volunteers have been hard at work removing weeds, setting boundaries, and mulching in preparation for planting at our Sunday morning working bees. This winter, more than 800 trees, shrubs, and grasses will be planted, and we’d love to have you join us!
