Free Community BBQ by APNSA Northen Branch Fremont Park

Join our Northern Suburbs Branch for our FREE Community BBQ! Free food and free giveaways, like clothing and other donated items. There are often other activities, like facepainting, or balloon blowing, and definitely some conversation and connecting!!

The BBQ area and playground are accessible, however be aware there is a large pond also if you have young children. All welcome!!

Anti-Poverty Network SA is a volunteer-run community advocacy group, made-up of job-seekers, pensioners, carers, students, sole parents, and allies, advocating for dignity and justice for all low-income people. We are often joined at the BBQ’s by other organisation and are supported by the Playford Women’s Shed.

This event is sponsored by local businesses and is for members, supporters, and the community, to have a chance to socialise, have a chat about shared challenges, or maybe to seek some information on how to navigate the challenges associated with life, especially when living in poverty. You can also learn more about who we are; what we do; and how you can get involved.

If anyone would like to support the Northern Branch BBQ’s there are many ways to do so. Financial donations can be made on our website and if you would like to support the BBQ through other means, or if you have clothing or other donations, please email for more information.

Jobseeker Community Forum | Jobseeker Payments Need To Rise Clarence Park Community Centre

JOBSEEKER PAYMENTS NEED TO RISE!

Join Grannies for Action and the Anti-Poverty Network SA for a powerful community forum centring the voices that matter most — people with lived experience of surviving on JobSeeker.

In one of the wealthiest countries in the world, people relying on JobSeeker are being forced to live in deep poverty. This isn’t inevitable — it’s a political choice.

Hear firsthand stories of what it really means to live on an income that doesn’t cover the basics. Together, we’ll unpack the reality, challenge harmful narratives, and build momentum for change.

How can we allow this to continue? We can’t — and we won’t.

Come along, listen, learn, and be part of collective action for a more just and fair society.

Everyone is welcome.

Your voice matters.

Change starts here.

We strive to make our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know about your accessibility needs, and we will attempt to assist you.
