Unley Repair Cafe Clarence Park Community Centre

The Unley Repair Café is a place where you can learn to repair your broken household items, with the help of expert local volunteer repairers, for free!

Through our sessions we repair things, share knowledge and skills, enjoy cups of tea, reduce landfill, save money, make friends and create community.

Monthly sessions are held from 9.30am – 12.30pm on the last Saturday of each month at the Clarence Park Community Centre Main Hall, 72-74 East Avenue, Black Forest 5035. Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t have something to repair.

Volunteer repairer vacancies come about from time to time, and we are always looking for volunteers with welcoming, co-ordinating, cooking and administrative skills. We always welcome volunteer repairers, especially electricians. Repair Cafe Payneham is a free monthly, open community event aiming to reduce waste in landfills, pass on valuable repairing knowledge, and create a sense of community. It’s a place where you can bring your broken items for fixing and learn how to fix them yourself – with the help of our skilled volunteer repairers.

Our sessions typically include electronic, electric, clothing, small furniture and general repairs. We post about our monthly volunteers, and repairs they will be able to help you with, closer to the event date on our main Facebook page. Please note:

One item at a time – one item is permitted per person at one time. Once that item has been completed, another item may be placed in the queue Last repairs at 11.30am – or earlier if we are very busy No drop-off service – visitors are expected to remain with the repairer to help with the process, if possible, or learn how it is done Donations – our Repair Café is a free service, but we welcome donations to help us cover the costs We are always looking for more volunteers – repairers, event support and behind-the-scenes help. Repair Cafe Campbelltown Campbelltown Memorial Oval

Repair Café Campbelltown is a place where you can bring broken items for fixing & learn how to fix them yourself – with the help of expert volunteer repairers, for free!

It is held from 10am-2pm, 2nd Sunday of every month, alongside Magill Rotary Sunrise Markets at Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Lower North East Road and Darley Road, Paradise. We have 30 volunteers offering their services as repairers, guides and administrative supporters. Offerings include:

sewing, darning needle felting locksmith mechanical/bicycles wooden items jewellery dolls, teddies, soft toys software knife sharpening electrical Last registrations for repairs for weekend events by 1.30pm. Arrival before noon is encouraged to ensure there is time for all items to be seen

Aberfoyle Repair Cafe is run by a group of volunteers who can help you repair your broken or damaged goods, learn new skills, and reduce things going to landfills.

We link people who know how to fix stuff with people who don’t, which fosters a wonderful sense of community.

Volunteers at our Repair Cafe can help with:

Gawler Repair Cafe Gawler Elderly Centre, 37 Fourteenth St, Gawler South

Our skilled volunteers will be on hand for mending (clothing, textiles), heavy duty sewing repairs (leather, canvas, denim), small electrical, general household items, jewellery, dolls and simple bike repairs like punctures.

No need to book, just pop in with your item (repairers will look at one item per person per session, maybe a second if we aren’t busy). Our services are provided free of charge or by donation, with coffee, tea and cake provided while you wait.

  1. Unfortunately, we cannot repair coffee machines (they need specialist components, & they tend to be very time-consuming)

  2. We cannot replace zips (very time-consuming) but we CAN attempt to fix the current zip

  3. Our sewing volunteers do not do alterations (but we have a list of local alteration services)

  4. Where possible, bring your own parts; or threads to match clothing repair; or preferred wool colour for darning, e.g. jumpers, socks
  5. Bring what’s needed so that the volunteer-repairer can check the item, e.g., for a cassette player, bring a cassette; CD player, bring a CD; television, bring the remote control!

  6. Please clean the item to be repaired, otherwise repairers will not be able to work on the item.

Coffee, tea, cacao, hot chocolate, broth, biscuits, etc available (gold coin donation to cover ingredients)

NOTE: there are good RECYCLING facilities at 19 on Green Community Centre

For donations (to assist with running costs) we welcome coins & notes, or we have a bank card reader.

Repair Cafe Payneham is a free monthly, open community event aiming to reduce waste in landfills, pass on valuable repairing knowledge, and create a sense of community. It’s a place where you can bring your broken items for fixing and learn how to fix them yourself – with the help of our skilled volunteer repairers.

Our sessions typically include electronic, electric, clothing, small furniture and general repairs. We post about our monthly volunteers, and repairs they will be able to help you with, closer to the event date on our main Facebook page. Please note:

One item at a time – one item is permitted per person at one time. Once that item has been completed, another item may be placed in the queue Last repairs at 11.30am – or earlier if we are very busy No drop-off service – visitors are expected to remain with the repairer to help with the process, if possible, or learn how it is done Donations – our Repair Café is a free service, but we welcome donations to help us cover the costs We are always looking for more volunteers – repairers, event support and behind-the-scenes help. Repair Café Campbelltown is a place where you can bring broken items for fixing & learn how to fix them yourself – with the help of expert volunteer repairers, for free!

It is held from 10am-2pm, 2nd Sunday of every month, alongside Magill Rotary Sunrise Markets at Campbelltown Memorial Oval, corner Lower North East Road and Darley Road, Paradise. We have 30 volunteers offering their services as repairers, guides and administrative supporters. Offerings include:

sewing, darning needle felting locksmith mechanical/bicycles wooden items jewellery dolls, teddies, soft toys software knife sharpening electrical Last registrations for repairs for weekend events by 1.30pm. Arrival before noon is encouraged to ensure there is time for all items to be seen

Aberfoyle Repair Cafe is run by a group of volunteers who can help you repair your broken or damaged goods, learn new skills, and reduce things going to landfills.

We link people who know how to fix stuff with people who don’t, which fosters a wonderful sense of community.

Volunteers at our Repair Cafe can help with:

  1. Unfortunately, we cannot repair coffee machines (they need specialist components, & they tend to be very time-consuming)

  2. We cannot replace zips (very time-consuming) but we CAN attempt to fix the current zip

  3. Our sewing volunteers do not do alterations (but we have a list of local alteration services)

  4. Where possible, bring your own parts; or threads to match clothing repair; or preferred wool colour for darning, e.g. jumpers, socks
  5. Bring what’s needed so that the volunteer-repairer can check the item, e.g., for a cassette player, bring a cassette; CD player, bring a CD; television, bring the remote control!

  6. Please clean the item to be repaired, otherwise repairers will not be able to work on the item.

Coffee, tea, cacao, hot chocolate, broth, biscuits, etc available (gold coin donation to cover ingredients)

NOTE: there are good RECYCLING facilities at 19 on Green Community Centre

For donations (to assist with running costs) we welcome coins & notes, or we have a bank card reader.

Unley Repair Cafe Clarence Park Community Centre

The Unley Repair Café is a place where you can learn to repair your broken household items, with the help of expert local volunteer repairers, for free!

Through our sessions we repair things, share knowledge and skills, enjoy cups of tea, reduce landfill, save money, make friends and create community.

Monthly sessions are held from 9.30am – 12.30pm on the last Saturday of each month at the Clarence Park Community Centre Main Hall, 72-74 East Avenue, Black Forest 5035. Everyone is welcome, even if you don’t have something to repair.

Volunteer repairer vacancies come about from time to time, and we are always looking for volunteers with welcoming, co-ordinating, cooking and administrative skills. We always welcome volunteer repairers, especially electricians. Gawler Repair Cafe Gawler Elderly Centre, 37 Fourteenth St, Gawler South

Our skilled volunteers will be on hand for mending (clothing, textiles), heavy duty sewing repairs (leather, canvas, denim), small electrical, general household items, jewellery, dolls and simple bike repairs like punctures.

No need to book, just pop in with your item (repairers will look at one item per person per session, maybe a second if we aren’t busy). Our services are provided free of charge or by donation, with coffee, tea and cake provided while you wait.
