Grey Box Day 2024 State Flora Nurseries

🌲🌿🌳🌱🍃 Hello all plant lovers!! 🌳🌿🍃🌱🌲 Grey Box Day is coming up again soon, on Sunday 5 May, 10am-4pm. Hosted by Greybox Community Organisation Inc, the day aims to raise awareness of the importance of Grey Box trees. The Grey Box (Eucalyptus microcarpa) Grassy Woodlands was formerly widespread across south-eastern Australia. Today, only 10 to 15% of its original extent remains. In the weeks before the event, Yellow ribbons will be tied around Grey Box trees in City of Mitcham to highlight these special trees. Grey Box trees grow slowly and rarely reach a size where they are protected in South Australia. On Sunday 5 May 10AM - 4PM, at State Flora in Belair National Park, there will be a special on native plants 🌱🌲🍃🌱🌿🌳

As well as: Community group information boots ℹ️ Live music by the FiddleChicks 🎶 🎼 🎵 CFS BBQ sausage sizzle 🍞 🍗 Educational info about environment and activities for kids. Join the community 🤩 Tag a friend who can help you come do some planting!
