Kidical Mass Adelaide
– 13 Morphett St, Adelaide, 5000
Celebrate Bikes, Community & Climate Action at Motherload with Kidical Mass Adelaide, 13 Morphett St, Adelaide As part of Adelaide Climate Action Week (July 27 - August 2), we invite you to join us for a special screening of Motherload - an inspiring documentary about cargo bikes, family life, and the growing movement to reclaim our streets for people and planet. This event is more than just a movie screening. It’s an opportunity to celebrate and reenergise the Kidical Mass Adelaide movement, connect with like-minded families and advocates and help shape the future of active transport in Adelaide. In 2026, we are celebrating five years of the Kidical Mass Adelaide movement! As our community continues to grow, we’re looking for new organisers and volunteers who are passionate about safer, more connected streets for children and families. In particular, we’re excited to begin our next major focus: supporting the creation of bike buses across Adelaide primary schools - helping more children ride safely, confidently, and joyfully to school together. Whether you’re already part of the movement or simply curious about how active transport can make our city healthier, fairer, and more climate-friendly, this event is for you. Come along to: * Enjoy an uplifting and thought-provoking film * Meet others passionate about bikes, community and climate action * Learn more about bike buses and how to get involved * Help grow the movement for safer streets for kids in Adelaide * Check out a display of local cargo bikes being used by Adelaide families every day * Discover Adelaide’s pioneering role in longbike prototypes * Discover how active transport can play a meaningful role in climate action and creating more liveable neighbourhoods Bring your friends, family, and enthusiasm and be part of the momentum for change. Doors will open at 2:00 pm Welcome address and movie start around 2:15 pm Movie concludes around 3:50 pm Adelaide Cargo Bikes display and networking from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm This is a child and family-friendly event; there will be breakout activities for kids. We expect movement and chatter during the movie screening. The candy bar will be open for the purchase of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. We’re working on our 2026 demonstration event, which will happen on Sunday, 13 September. All funds raised via ticket sales go toward the 2026 campaign. Thanks to Kidical Mass Adelaide organisers + campaign partners, Middle Ground Motherhood, Bike Adelaide and Parents for Climate for making this event possible. See less Adelaide, South Australia |

[FILM LAUNCH] Understanding Suicidal Thoughts & Experiences in Country SA
– Online Event
In South Australia, rural and regional communities have been overlooked in discussions and responses covering mental health and suicide prevention. That is why LELAN has partnered with Country SA PHN as part of the Commonwealth government’s Targeted Regional Initiatives for Suicide Prevention (TRISP). Under this initiative, an Advisory Group of people who have lived experience of suicide distress have collaborated to create a short film about what we have heard from our communities. It aims to reduce stigma, increase help seeking, and improve community responsiveness and advocacy by sharing insights and solutions from people who have lived experience of distress or who have been impacted by suicide in rural and regional South Australian communities. We will be holding an online launch for our short film, to share it with the community. The format of the event will include: Introduction Film Screening Panel Q&A This online launch will be held 5:15pm – 6:15pm Thursday 27 June online via Zoom. If you RSVP to this event, you will be sent the Zoom link to join us. |
