  <div class="vevent h-event"> <h1 class="summary p-name">Walking Together with Kaurna: Aboriginal Games, Stories and Songs</h1> <div class='date'><time class="dtstart dt-start" title="2026-09-29T13:30:00" datetime="2026-09-29T13:30:00">Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from 1:30</time>–<time class="dtend dt-end" title="2026-09-29T15:00:00" datetime="2026-09-29T15:00:00">3pm</time></div> <div class="location vcard p-location h-card"> <a class="url" href='https://seedbomb.au/venues/248'><span class='fn org p-name'>The Summit Community Centre</span></a> <div class="adr p-adr h-adr"> </div> </div> <div class="description p-description"> <p>Ages 5+ Family Friendly (supervision by parent or guardian required)</p> <p>Lead facilitator Drew Kilner, a Kaurna and Ngarrindjeri man, will be leading the activities with the support of Matt Sevallos, who is an Arrernte, Alyawarre, Gurindji and Larrakia man.</p> <p>Liesl von der Borch, founder and co-director of Walking Together with Kaurna, has, as much as possible, been creating the games to be played with a sense of authenticity i.e. the possum skin balls, the wooden marbles, the old wooden cotton spools.</p> <p>Games will include:</p> <p>PIRRHA A ball spinning game of the Arabana mob of Kati Thanda (Lake Eyre), South Australia</p> <p>PUTH A ‘flip the cotton reel’ game played by the Murrinh-Patha mob of the Northern Territory</p> <p>NANDRRA-RNA A marble game of the Kokatha mob of South Australia played with wooden marbles.</p> <p>Community Centre Contact Details</p> <p>The Summit Community Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (closed on Fridays and public holidays). Extreme and Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings</p> <p>When an ‘Extreme 75+’ or Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating is declared for the Mt Lofty Ranges, the Adelaide Hills Council Community Centre’s will be closed, and all classes and programs will be cancelled without notice. Any monies paid will either be reimbursed or the course will be rescheduled for a later date.
