A community event that brings people together to acknowledge our shared histories and to celebrate the living cultures of Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait Islander) people. Survival Day 2025 will be a significant community event that brings people together to acknowledge our shared histories and to celebrate the living cultures of Aboriginal and Zenadth Kes (Torres Strait Islander) people.

Held on 26 January, we recognise this as Survival Day, focusing on the resilience and strength of Aboriginal & Zenadth Kes communities today. The FREE event will feature a Welcome to Country, Smoking Ceremony, speeches from Elders and community leaders, cultural dance, musical performances and creative workshops. There will be a community BBQ, stalls featuring Aboriginal-owned businesses, local support services, and kids' activities highlighting culture and connection.
