Email SA Health for Gender Affirming Care, with Trans Justice Adelaide
Desk Action
We’re seeking your assistance to increase public pressure on SA Health to improve their delivery of Gender Affirming Care. SA Health continues to ban Gender Affirming Surgery in Public Hospitals. In July 2023 SA Health released the Statewide Gender Diversity Model of Care, and Flinders Medical Centre has been investigating the development of a public clinic for gender affirming surgeries. However, early this year, Flinders sent an update saying the service is still awaiting approval, leaving trans people in limbo, uncertain about the future of their healthcare. We are seeking your support to contact Flinders Medical Centre and the SA Local Health Network to provide Gender Affirming Surgical Services through the public system and provide life-affirming, life-saving healthcare for Trans and Gender Diverse South Australians. We ask that you help us by emailing SA Health, either by following the instructions to send out a templated email, or writing your own! Thank you so much for your help with improving access to Gender Affirming Care. |
