DESCRIPTION:The ecological crisis has emerged from a deeper cultural cris
is of story\, belonging\, and imagination. Our old\, inherited narrative
s are exhausting the movement. This is an essential workshop for changem
akers to learn how to identify the stories that are holding us back and
collectively create and share new stories worthy of the best of us. Disc
over how stories can become sources of wisdom\, identity\, and ritual fo
r effective change.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nHer session is around eco-anxiety as
the problem / symptom\, but is mostly about addressing it through unders
tanding the stories that cause that and learning how to shift them.&#13\
;\n&#13\;\nJoin us to explore how we might create and share stories wort
hy of the best of us.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nTrish Hansen works across arts\, cu
lture\, health\, design and community. Based on Kaurna Country\, she lea
ds ReWonder\, works in Arts in Health\, and writes children's fiction. S
haped by the oceans and the spirit of seafaring\, through her father’s N
orse ancestry and her mother’s Celtic roots in wild places - Trish grew
up on the unceded lands of the Kaurna People\, on Tarntanya Country\, So
uth Australia\, with the red gums along the creek.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhat’s
the Story?&#13\;\nTending stories worthy of the best of us&#13\;\nThe e
cological crisis has emerged from a deeper cultural crisis: a crisis of
 story\, belonging\, imagination\, and relationship.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nMany
of the stories we have inherited are exhausting us. Ways of living shape
d by narratives told over centuries\, and by industry-centric worldviews
cultivated over millennia\, are no longer serving us or the planet.&#13
\;\n&#13\;\nNow\, as we live mostly among strangers\, often with vastly
different ways of seeing the world\, beyond the coherence of kinship\, w
e face unprecedented challenges of extraordinary scale and complexity to
gether.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWe have never done this before. Not in the 4.5 bi
llion years it has taken for life to evolve to this moment.&#13\;\n&#13\
;\nAnd yet\, other stories are stirring.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nStories of inter
 dependence.&#13\;\nStories of enoughness.&#13\;\nStories of courage\, re
ciprocity\, and care.&#13\;\nStories that remember we are part of the li
ving world.&#13\;\n&#13\;\nThis session offers participants a space to r
econnect with what they love and to honour what hurts. It invites us to
consider that eco-anxiety may not be pathology\, but a natural response
when what we care about is under threat. From that place\, together we w
ill explore:&#13\;\n&#13\;\nWhat stories are exhausting us?&#13\;\nWhat
stories are asking to emerge?&#13\;\nWhat stories hold shared meaning?&#
13\;\nWhat stories are coherent enough to trust?&#13\;\nHow might storie
 s become sources of wisdom\, identity\, and ritual?&#13\;\nWhat stories
might we tend now?&#13\;\nThe planet is not failing us - our stories are
 .&#13\;\nIt’s all cultural.\n\nTags: Climate Action\, Eco-anxiety\, Cons
